Ogun govt seals Gbenga Daniel’s properties

The Ogun State government on Monday, sealed off Asoludero Court, the Conference Hotels, and its annex in the Sagamu Government Reserved Area, belonging to the former governor and senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. DAILY POST reports that the seal off followed a notice to quit issued to the management of the properties barely three days ago. According to the notice issued on Friday, the buildings contravened the Ogun State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law No. 61 of 2022 and its subsidiary regulations. The notice ordered the owners or occupants to produce all relevant planning permits within 24 hours or face demolition. Delta State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has said the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of economic challenges it is facing now informed the formation of the party. National Chief Whip of the party, Mr. Festus Igbinoba, who spoke in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta State, stating that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressive Congress, APC, have disappointed and failed Nigerians. Receiving new members from different political parties, he said ADC has come to stay in the state. “We are here today to officially unveil Delta State chapter of the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections so as to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of economic challenges we are facing now. “With ADC, Nigeria will be repositioned for a better future, because APC and PDP have failed Nigerians woefully,” he said.

Controversial activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as   VeryDarkMan (VDM),   has expressed disappointment in singer Naira Marley for forgiving Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her alleged defamatory remarks about him in the Mohbad case. Speaking in a video shared on his TikTok page, VDM revealed that he had advised  Naira Marley  to pursue legal action against Iyabo Ojo for cyberbullying and defamation. D’Tigress star, Amy Okonkwo has been named Most Valuable Player, MVP, at the just concluded 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket , DAILY POST reports. Okonkwo was instrumental in Nigeria’s successful outing at the competition. Rena Wakama’s side defeated Mali 78-64 in the final of the competition at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan , Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday night. It was D’Tigress’ fifth consecutive title, and the seventh time they will be lifting the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket trophy. DAILY POST recalls, Okonkwo also won the MVP award at the previous edition of the competition hosted by Rwanda. Court grants ICPC’s request to take over lands approved for Goodluck Jonathan Estate

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted an application by the ICPC to temporarily take over the expansive land approved for the Goodluck Jonathan Legacy Model Housing Estate. Justice Mohammed Umar granted the application after ICPC’s lawyer, Osuobeni Akponimisingha, moved a motion ex parte to the effect. Justice Umar held that the interim forfeiture of the multi-billion naira assets approved by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) shall be pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the anti-corruption agency, in the motion ex-parte marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1124/2025, listed FMBN as sole respondent.
